Questions Part 2, 30"W x 40"H

The freed slaves of the five civilized tribes are the most documented former slaves because they had to enroll in their respective tribes and undergo interviews to determine their eligibility. I found many interviews from various ancestors. They were asked so many questions to "prove" their heritage and their history with each tribe. When creating this piece I wanted to make it more personal, so this time I included excerpts of those interviews.
